Catfish and the Bottlemen – Brighton
LMS were back in the Brighton dome to see the Welsh heroes bring another incredible performance. Van McCann always brings a sensational atmosphere and energy to every gig, and you could tell straight away that the fans loved the new songs from there upcoming album The Ride, including 7 and Red.
They opened with Homesick and the second Van sang the opening line he had the crowd in the palm of his hands singing along. It was an intense crowd without a moments rest when they played any songs from brilliant debut album The Balcony. It was actually refreshing when they played new songs the crowd didn’t know from the new album The Ride, just to give our voice and body a break from the mosh pits.
LMS are very excited for the release of ride after singles such as soundcheck; it’s a new sound for the band however still has the rough lyrics and superb riffs.
We were lucky enough to meet the band after by the tour bus, Jonny Bond the guitarist gave us some backstage dressing room posters and Van McCann actually waited and spoke to us personally, he was a lovely fell who gives his time to fans and is still humble and down to earth.
With big tour dates coming up such as T in the Park and London Electric Ballroom the bands rise will continue and LMS will be reporting them from Boardmasters. We love the energy from the crowd and the incredible sounds the Welsh band make.
