Award-Winning Rockers, Arctic Monkeys, Confirm Their Debut Headline Tour & 5 New Festival Dates After Years of Anticipation

The Sheffield Icons have just confirmed a huge announcement. The new dates added to the bill mark the first of an array of live shows. The Arctic Monkeys last performed live more than three years ago.

Bassist Nick O’Malley recently confirmed the band started recording their long-awaited sixth studio album back in September. He also confirmed that it was due to be released in 2018.

Arctic Monkey’s will appear at several festivals across the summer of 2018. The full lineup is as follows;

Rockwave Festival, Greece (July 6)
Rock Werchter, Belgium (July 8)
NOS Alive, Portugal (July 12)
Madcool Festival, Spain (July 13)
OYA Festival, Norway (August 8)
Way Out Festuval, Finland (August 9-11)
Flow Festival, Finland (August 11)
Sziget Festival, Hungary (August 14)

 

 

They will also appear at Firefly Festival in mid-June alongside huge-name artists, including Eminem and Kendrick Lamar.

The band have won multiple Brit Awards over the years – winning both Best British Group and Best British Album three times. They were also been nominated for three Grammy Awards and won The Mercury Prize back in 2006 for their Debut Album.

It is their latest material since the release of the album, AM, which hit mainstream back in 2013. And it seems fans are pretty excited to say the least…
